Music & Choir

Term 3, Week 10

And with what seems like a blink of an eye, here we are at the end of Term 3!

Foundation – Grade 6 Performances

During music lessons this term all students worked on a vast range of musical items. These will be presented to audiences in Term 4.

  • Year level items will be performed at assemblies.
  • Individual class items will be filmed during music lessons and shared on the BPS Facebook page or on Showbie.

Rest assured that ALL students will be involved in performing, however only students with publicity consent will be visible in the footage.

Publicity Consent

Families new to BPS can provide their consent via Compass. Please contact the School Office if you require assistance.

Performance Dates

You will be notified via Compass and / or Showbie with performance details. Keep an eye on the Compass Calendar, too.

Confident Comperes

Students will have the opportunity to introduce items at their performance. I’ve spoken with most students about this and have suggested they ‘give it a go’! If they feel public speaking is a challenge, this is a perfect opportunity for them to say a few lines to an audience. They will be given a short sentence to rehearse at home prior to the performance - and introductions will be available at the performance, so nothing needs to be memorised. The aim is to speak clearly and slowly and build confidence in our students!

Please note that if there are more students than lines available, I will choose students by picking names out of a hat (literally)!
