This week the students are continuing on with their learning of Summarising. 

VOCABULARY

Summarising: Telling the most important parts of a text, in your own words, in a much shorter way.

Key Information: Important pieces of information that support the main idea of a text.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

After your child has read their take home reader to you, ask them to summarize the main ideas. 

Think about the following:

• Events
