Catholic Identity
Mercy Prayer
We pray for the Sisters of Mercy, who established our school and for the priests who have served at St. Mary’s.
It is through their vision, determination and strong faith that we enjoy the benefits of a Catholic Education here in Mooroopna.
We are proud to be a Mercy School, where the values of love and justice are taught and lived every day.
Term 3 Week 10 - Catholic Identity Newsletter
NEW NEWS!
Special thanks to our Mass student volunteers!
We seem to have had a very busy Term Three, filled with many masses and whole school celebrations!
I would just like to thank all of the students who volunteer to participate in our whole school masses each term, whether via reading, being a FIRE Carrier, being involved in the entrance procession or taking up the gifts in the offertory procession, being a part of the choir or helping out in the Tech Team and running the Slides presentation or the filming of the Mass!
We would not be able to celebrate such wonderful liturgies without our amazing students!
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
Special thanks to Ann Margaret Carroll for assisting with all things ICT and to Susan Stanley for taking the photos at our liturgies and for all of those parents, family members and parishioners who are able to attend our liturgies.
Flowers made by each class decorate our Admin Office Area after our Mass for the Birthday of Mary last week!
Reminder NEWS!
Season of Creation
The Season of Creation began on September 1st, which was the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation.
The Season of Creation ends on October 4th, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology beloved by many Christian denominations.
The theme for this year’s Season of Creation is, “Let Justice and Peace Flow.”
The Season of Creation is a time set aside each year to focus on God’s gift of creation and our responsibility to care for it, our common home.
Please see the Season of Creation Prayer attached to this newsletter.
During this year’s Season of Creation, focus on looking after one aspect of our environment that will help make a difference to the future of our planet!
No matter how small your action, “from little things, big things grow!”
