New - St Marys Netballers

Well done to our Gr 5/6 netball teams for taking part in the state championships last week we had a mixed team and a boys team take part.

Our mixed netball team played 9 games and won 4, to finish 6th on the ladder. They were competitive all day and when they did lose, it was by no more than 6 goals!

Our boys netball team had an enjoyable day, playing 5 games and winning one by a very exciting one goal!

New - Golden Glove Event

Urijah (5/6CT) & Izaiah (5/6BW) Harrington recently travelled to Brisbane for the National Golden Glove Event.

The 'Golden Glove' is a boxing event that ran over 4 days for boxers aged 10 years through to masters and is the 2nd biggest tournament for this sport.

Urijah successfully competed in the 40kg weight, which is 1 above his level. He was named the Australian National Champion for this event.

Izaiah's oponent pulled out which left him with the opportunity to participate in some spaaing bouts and practise his skills.

Both boys will head to Canberra in a few weeks to participate in various events and development for their chosen sport. With Urijah on track to trial for the 2024 state team.

Congratulations Boys.
