Year 9 Ski Trip

YEAR 9 OUTDOOR EDUCATION SKI TRIP

Earlier this term, Year 9 Outdoor Education students travelled to Mount Beauty and Falls Creek to spend some on the slopes.  Students prepared themselves for wintery conditions and the snowfields did not disappoint.

There was plenty of snow, stacks, laughs and challenges, with students taking part in lessons on both days, by the end of the trip there was significant improvements by all.

Staff are very proud of how each person pushed themselves past their comfort zone, particularly with the 5.30am starts, cold winds and no phone usage at night. They learnt to manage their time by arriving efficiently at each of the checkpoints and preparing for bed on time. Students are also to be commended for the support of one another both on and off the slopes.

Overall, the trip certainly gave the opportunity for individual growth, resilience and perseverance. Thankyou to the staff involved who gave of their time to facilitate this trip.
