Soccer and Netball Gala Days
Please see the teams below for the Soccer and Netball Gala Days taking place next Tuesday 23rd September.
Reminders:
Soccer Location: Gipps Street Fields
Netball Location: Sports Dome Netball Complex, Jack Smyth Drive
Time: Arrive by 9.00am - Day finishes at 2.00pm - teams not in finals will be finished slightly earlier
Bring: Water, hat, sunscreen, shin guards (soccer)
Wear: Blue sports uniform or St. Edward's Netball Uniform (if you have one)
Polding Athletics Carnival
What an incredible day for our St Ed’s athletes at the Catholic Schools Polding Athletics Carnival! Twelve of our students proudly represented our school, with their classmates back at school watching the live stream and cheering them on every step of the way.
Outstanding Results
• Aria - 4th in the 100m
• Aria - 3rd in the 200m final
• Chaise - 4th in the 100m
• Evie - 100/200m finalist
• Jimmy - 4th in the 800m
• Junior Girls Relay Team - 1st place!
A huge congratulations to all of our athletes on their amazing efforts and sportsmanship. We are especially proud of those who achieved a podium finish and have now been selected to represent at the NSW PSSA Athletics Championships in Sydney.

St Ed's Rugby Union
Our successful St Ed's Rugby Union team from the Gary McSweeney Cup were presented with their individual trophies last Friday at the whole school assembly. Once again, we are so incredibly proud of them for bringing the prestigious trophy to our school and the effort they displayed on the day!

Tamworth Netball Association (TNA) are thrilled to announce the 2026 Representative Season for:
- 11 Years Development Squad
- Junior State: 12yrs, 13yrs & 14yrs
- Senior State: 15yrs, 17yrs & Opens
Rep Trials – Important Information Sessions will be held as follows:
Wednesday 29th October
12–15yrs: 4:30–6:00pm
17yrs & Opens: 6:15–7:30pm
Wednesday 5th November
12–15yrs: 4:30–6:00pm
17yrs & Opens: 6:15–7:30pm
Sunday 9th November
12–15yrs: 9:00–10:30am
17yrs & Opens: 10:45–12:00pm
**** You must attend at least 2 out of the 3 trials to be eligible for selection.

About the Programs
11 Years Development Squad – Build skills, make friends, enhance fitness and foster a love for the game. Training commences in 2026 – register for more information. This is a squad with no selections, and training will begin in 2026.
Junior State Titles – NSW’s premier competition for 12–14yrs, bringing athletes, coaches, and officials together for an unforgettable netball experience.
2026 HART Junior State Titles Saturday 4th July - Monday 6th July
Senior State Titles – NSW’s premier competition for athletes 15yrs and over, part of the Netball NSW performance pathway.
2026 HART Senior State Titles Saturday 6th June - Monday 8th June
Commitment & Costs
Selected players will be expected to attend:
Wednesday training sessions
4–5 Sunday carnivals (nominated by coach)
State Titles
Costs will be confirmed once sponsorship and fundraising has been finalised.

Please keep a lookout for these in your cupboards, school bags, dirty clothes baskets, and even under beds. We are still missing a considerable number of shirts, which will be required to be handed back in this term.

The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council is a body representative of the Catholic Education Office, Principals and Sports Coordinators from all Diocesan Primary Schools. The ADPSC offers a pathway for Armidale Diocesan students in most sports.
