Yr 9 & 10 Food Specialisation

Part of our Food Technology curriculum is not only to understand where food comes from, or how to prepare it, often the most overlooked part is the presentation and appeal to a consumer. 

 

The Year 9, 10 class took onboard the challenge of making some, but fully plating up and presenting charcuterie platters for the opening of the Art Exhibition.

Working in teams, some had fruit, some had the meat and cheeses and others had sandwiches and slices.  We had some vision boards and spoke of colour appeal, layout and avoiding cross contamination. As a teacher, I was very proud of their work.
