Character Competencies
This fortnight we have been focussing on the character competency of Courage. Students can show courage in all areas of the school, whether it be in the classroom or on the playground. It is important for students to display courage in all aspects of their lives so they can grow and develop into strong confident individuals.

PSSA Junior and Senior Newcombe Ball
On Friday 15th May, our PSSA Newcombe Ball teams represented our school with enthusiasm and excellent sportsmanship. Both teams played three competitive games each. Our junior team had an outstanding day, remaining undefeated and winning all of their matches. The senior team also performed strongly, securing one win and narrowly going down in two closely contested games. Unfortunately, the final scheduled game of the day was unable to be played due to rain.
Well done to all students for their teamwork, effort and positive attitude throughout the day.

Visiting Future Olympic Athlete
On Tuesday 26th May we had a visit from a future Olympian Desleigh Owusu. This is part of the Olympics Unleashed program that is being promoted through schools across Australia.
Our students enjoyed the talk that Desleigh presented on how to plan and achieve goals that you set for yourself. They were quite taken by how tall Desleigh was. They also enjoyed getting her autograph. Classes also got the opportunity to have their photo taken with Desleigh.
