St Roch’s Reading Challenge Update

We’re now six weeks into the St Roch’s Reading Challenge for 2025, and what an incredible journey it’s been. Our enthusiastic readers have already devoured an impressive 1,854 books! This is a testament to the dedication, curiosity and love of reading that thrives in our school community.

With just three weeks to go, we’re turning our eyes to the finish line. Last year, we reached a total of 2,572 books read and we believe that if we all work together, we can break that record.

Coming off the excitement of last week’s Book Week celebrations, themed ‘Book an Adventure’, our students have shown just how powerful stories can be. At St Roch’s, we know that reading isn’t just about developing our skills, it’s about exploring new ideas, discovering different perspectives and letting our imaginations soar.

Whether it’s a thrilling adventure, a mind-bending mystery, or a heartwarming tale, every book opens a door to a new world. So let’s keep the momentum going! We encourage all students to carve out time each day to enjoy a great read and don’t forget to log your progress using the link provided or via your Google Classroom.

Every book counts and together, we’re turning pages toward something amazing. Let’s see if we can make this our biggest reading year yet!
