Term 3 in Prep

It has been a fantastic start to Term 3 for the Prep children as we were eager to count down the days until we reached a special milestone of 100 days at school! 

It was wonderful to see the children come dressed as "100 days brighter," "100 days smarter," "100 days older," or even as if they were from 100 years ago during the parade. Adding a creative and joyful touch to the celebration.

To mark the occasion, students brought in a collection of 100 items, which they enjoyed counting and grouping into sets of 10s and 5s, making the activity both fun and educational. The children also proudly created and wore their ‘100 Days of School’ crowns, which they happily showed off at the end of the day.

This term, we also launched our integrated topic, ‘Let’s Investigate!’, with an exciting excursion to the zoo. The children explored different animal habitats and learned why certain animals need specific items in their homes to survive and thrive. They asked thoughtful questions to the zookeepers and became scientific explorers with their investigative skills. A highlight of the visit was seeing the baby giraffe, an anticipated moment for the Prep students!
