Tales From Teaching & Learning

Hello families,

The Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership has recently released a document for families to explain the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM) 2.0 in parent friendly language.

The VTLM 2.0 is an updated version of how the DET is asking school to operate. You will notice that it talks about schools ‘updating their teaching practices to align with the best evidence about how students learn’. At Keelonith our teaching practices are already fully aligned with the VTLM 2.0, and rather than updating our practices, we are focused on embedding and enhancing our teaching practices in all areas of the school.

Please find the Vic Academy document attached. We encourage you to use the 10 suggested questions when discussing your child’s day at school with them.
