Year 6

Year 6 Attend Combined Assumption Mass and Confirmation Retreat

On Friday 15th August, our Year 6 students joined with students from schools across Orange to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption at James Sheahan Catholic High School. The combined Mass was a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together in faith and celebrate this important feast day.

Following Mass, the Year 6 students from Catherine McAuley and St Mary’s participated in a Confirmation Retreat. This special retreat was facilitated by the Year 9 and 10 students of James Sheahan, who did a fantastic job leading activities, reflections and discussions that helped prepare the Year 6 students for their upcoming Sacrament of Confirmation.

It was a joyful day of prayer, reflection and community, and our Year 6 students returned enriched by the experience and grateful for the guidance of the James Sheahan students.
