Year 4 Newsletter

In Year 4 we have been studying the text The Thing About Oliver. The students are loving this text and the artwork that we do from it. In the story the central character Tilly wants to be a marine biologist and work on the Great Barrier Reef. From this information we drew inspiration to make fish that you might see on the Reef. Here are some of our fish.

We have also been looking at 2D shapes in Maths. We know that some shapes combine to make other shapes such as a triangle and a rectangle to make a pentagon. Our shapes unit goes for 2 weeks so we will be looking at home to see what shapes we can find. What are these shapes?
