Dear Parents,
Our Book Parade on Wednesday was an outstanding event. The children had fun and looked fantastic. Thank you to all our parents for their support of the children and assisting them in being in costumes which they were able to parade. Our Book Fair has also been well supported. Children and parents have all had the opportunity to purchase a huge selection of books. We sold $6300.00 in books, which is incredible. Thank you for your support. A special thanks to Mrs George and Mrs Glasson for their organisation and coordination of the Book Fair and Book Parade.
The District Athletics Carnival scheduled for this Friday 22nd August has been postponed to Friday 5th September at Morse Park. This also means our Cricket match against Orange PS has had to be rescheduled. The cricket has been tentatively rescheduled to Wednesday 3rd September (still to be confirmed) in Orange.
Last week, Harvey Glasgow represented the Western Region at the PSSA Boys State Netball Championships in Coffs Harbour. Over two days, Harvey and the Western Region team competed against boys from both private and public schools, from all over the state. Harvey played in defence much of the time and was up against some very tall opposition shooters. He also ran around as centre in some matches and did a great job in both. Congratulations, Harvey.
Congratulations to Charlotte, Evie, Heidi, Peyton and Adeline—our BPS Game Changer team! Stage 2 is complete! Last week, the girls successfully completed the Game Changer Challenge design sprint and developed a brilliant idea: The Scrap Scanner, created to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Their concept was the result of extensive research into sustainability and the challenges faced by people, places, and our planet. The girls are now eagerly awaiting to see if they’ve made it through to the grand final! Girls, you’ve made BPS incredibly proud! Thank you, Mrs Guihot, for your work with the team. This has been a wonderful project to be involved in.
Thank you to the many parents who have supported our School Uniform Shop since its opening last Monday. Whilst parents can attend the school in person to purchase uniforms, this can also be done online through Sentral Uniforms. If any parents has any questions about our Uniform Shop, please contact the office at school.
A reminder that we still have a sale on our school jumpers. They are currently reduced to $15 so please get in whilst stock is still available.
