New Volunteer Induction

At St Kilda Park Primary School, we love seeing parents, carers, grandparents and family members getting involved in the life of our school.

Whether you're helping in the classroom, assisting on an excursion, supporting in Kitchen Garden sessions or helping with changing at swimming, your involvement helps create a vibrant and connected school community — and it’s something we deeply value.

We know that when families feel welcome and involved, children thrive. Volunteering is a fantastic way to build connections, support learning, and contribute to the unique SKiPPS culture that makes our school so special.

How Can You Help?

There are many ways to volunteer at SKiPPS, including:

  • Assisting in the classroom (reading, maths groups, art projects, etc.)
  • Helping out on excursions
  • Supporting school events like sports days, performing arts productions or working bees
  • Contributing to our Kitchen Garden programs
  • Sharing a special skill or passion with your child's class

Even a small amount of time can make a big difference!

Volunteer Induction – A Few Steps to Complete

To ensure the safety of all our students and to comply with Child Safe Standards, all volunteers must:

  1. Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  2. Complete our Volunteer Induction Form and acknowledge key policies.
  3. Watch our short Volunteer Induction Video: Watch here.
  4. Read and understand our relevant Child Safe documents and policies.

All volunteers must complete this form before volunteering:

We are committed to providing a child-safe environment for all students. As part of this, we ask volunteers to be familiar with the following policies:

Thank you for your enthusiasm to help our school and to also ensure our students are kept safe.
