Welcome to Week 3 of Term 3 at Leongatha Primary School

Welcome to Week 3.

It has been wonderful to see our students continuing to embrace learning with enthusiasm and positivity as we move further into Term 3. This week is packed with exciting opportunities that reflect many of the values we hold as a school community.

On Monday and Tuesday, we are excited to welcome our Big Blitz Landcare sessions. These activities provide students with valuable hands-on learning experiences while strengthening our commitment to sustainability. By working together to care for our local environment, students develop an appreciation of the important role they play in looking after the world around them. Thank you to everyone involved in supporting these fantastic learning opportunities.

A very special congratulations goes to our Prep students, who will celebrate 100 Days of Prep on Tuesday, 28 July. Reaching 100 days of school is a wonderful milestone and an opportunity to reflect on just how much our youngest learners have achieved. In just 100 days, our Prep students have:

  • Built new friendships and become valued members of our school community.
  • Developed confidence and independence in their daily routines.
  • Grown as readers, writers and mathematicians.
  • Learnt to collaborate, solve problems and persevere when learning becomes challenging.
  • Demonstrated kindness, curiosity and resilience every day.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our Prep students and thank our Prep teachers and families for the support they have provided throughout this important first stage of schooling.

This week, we also wish our Grade 6 boys all the very best as they compete in the Regional Netball Finals. We know they will represent Leongatha Primary School with determination, teamwork and respect. Regardless of the results, we are proud of the commitment they have shown in reaching this level of competition. Good luck, boys—we are all behind you! Your efforts are a wonderful example of the strong school spirit that exists within our community.

To round out an exciting week, our students will enjoy a performance by Orchestra Victoria. Experiences such as these enrich our curriculum and help foster a vibrant school culture where students are inspired through music, creativity and shared experiences. Opportunities to come together as a whole school strengthen the connections that make Leongatha Primary School such a positive place to learn and grow.

Thank you for your continued support, and we wish all of our students, staff and families a fantastic Week 3.

Best Regards

Warwick
