Remembrance day

Thank you to Mrs. Mcleod for another beautiful Remembrance Day assembly.  

Well done to all the students who listened and participated respectfully with many students bringing flowers to lay alongside our wreath. Some of these were beautiful paper flowers made by the students.

Leaving Deer Park West in 2025

As we are now planning for next year, it would be appreciated if any families who are leaving the school and not returning next year, could let the office know as soon as possible.

Foundation Transition

This week we conducted our 2nd parent session, where we shared information about the curriculum, teaching and learning. We spent some time looking at how handwriting is taught, including correct starting points. All students starting Foundation next year receive a welcome show bag with a variety of goodies, including color pencils, a picture storybook, some handwriting activities and much more.

Each week it is clear that the students are becoming more and more familiar with the school routines and that they are developing friendships. 

Well done everyone involved in this very important program supporting the smooth transition to primary school.
