Join us for our Term 4 School forum, the last of the year, as we recap and discuss all that the school has achieved to date in Term 4 and, indeed, across the year. It is your opportunity to hear what plans are in store through our school/parent partnerships for 2025 and to provide input, suggestions, and feedback on anything you feel would make our school even better than it currently is!

Part of our Term 4 forum includes appointing our P&F Team for 2025. The P&F Team in 2024 consisted of our executive roles: President, Treasurer, and Secretary, along with the P&F-appointed roles of Class Parent Coordinators and DBB CSP rep.

Our Team in 2024 is:

President: Olwyn Connolly (2nd term)

Secretary: Norelle Jones (2nd term - stepping down)

Treasurer: Lawrence Wong (2nd term - stepping down)

Co-Treasurer: Damian Ryan (1st term - stepping down)

CSP Rep: Shane Norton (1st term - stepping down)

Class Parent Coordinators: Anna Roberts & Stephen Xu (1st term)

In 2025, we are proposing to continue with the same P&F Team format save for the following changes:

CSP Rep role will be filled by proxy

Class Parent Coordinators - introduce a third parent

Introduce two further sub-committee roles: Green Team coordinator to help grow the activities of our school's green team and help alleviate additional workload from Mrs Edwards's desk, and Uniform Swap Show coordinator to help coordinate uniform swaps once per term to provide affordable, sustainable uniform options to our families. If our proposal to introduce a strings program to the school in 2025 is agreed, then we will also look to create a Strings Program coordinator to help oversee this (the program is being explored with two parents who are both professional strings teachers).

Nominations can be shared before the forum with the Olwyn or Pauline, and parents are welcome to make nominations at the forum. All members of the current team are open to discussions about the roles and expectations. We are continuously looking to improve how the roles are delivered to ensure we achieve the right balance of time commitments and outcomes for the school.

Holy Family P&F Team 2025, we need the following roles for the P&F Team:

President (1pax) The president is the heart of the committee, guiding the team and fostering collaboration. They lead with vision, facilitating discussions that help set goals, inspire new ideas, and drive positive change for our school community. They work closely with the principal and school leadership and the Parish Priest to ensure the school is achieving all it can both within its own community and in our parish. They represent the school in our community and other forums of schools across the diocese. They preside over all P&F meetings and provide leadership and direction to the P&F Team and its subcommittees. They have an open and collaborative relationship with each member of the Team and Sub-committees to ensure the goals are achieved, and needs and issues are addressed.

Treasurer & Co-Treasurer (2 pax) More than just a "numbers person," the treasurers are our financial navigators. They manage budgets, oversee fundraising efforts, and ensure funds are used effectively, supporting initiatives that make a real impact on students and families. Some accounting or bookkeeping experience is highly desirable for this role. We deliberately seek two people to share this role to ensure that the operational aspects and annual audit process are managed well and don't burden people's time contributions too much.

Secretary (1pax) The secretary plays a dual role as both the organiser and communicator for the P&F Team. In addition to traditional secretariat duties—such as preparing agendas, arranging P&F meetings and forums, and recording and distributing minutes—the secretary ensures timely and effective communication between the P&F Team, the school, and its community, keeping everyone informed and connected.

Class Parent Coordinators (3pax) This team is all about connection and clarity. Working hand in hand with the secretary and president, the class parent coordinators ensure key messages, updates, and requests are shared seamlessly with class parents. They also support class parents to foster a sense of community and belonging for our families. They guide the organisation of events by each class and help to coordinate Class Parent catchups during the year. A call for our 2025 Class Parents will be made in week 8 of term 4.

Lindfield Art Show & Fair Coordinators (3pax): the team that gets to work early in the year to lay the plans for our school’s flagship event. 2025 will be the 49th year of the LASF, and we hope to continue to build on the success of the last two years. You will act as the key group to manage the pre-event planning, including liaising with our artists, preparing the social media and other marketing plans, coordinating the fair zones and suppliers, managing our volunteer needs for the lead-up to and over the event, coordinating a program of sponsorship and support in our community for our fundraising and raffle.

Green Team Coordinator (1pax): This role champions our school’s sustainability efforts, working closely with our school leadership to support our Green Team in growing the number of initiatives they run at school. Our Green Team manage our school veggie pods and bee hotel and coordinates groundskeeping projects. They want to foster environmental awareness among students with initiatives like Wast Free Wednesday. They inspire hands-on learning about sustainability and help our school community embrace eco-friendly practices and a love for nature. Our coordinator helps them plan for these activities, sources supporters to contribute time to achieving them, and regularly communicates their efforts to the school community.

Yearbook Lead (1pax - with a team to support): The yearbook lead is the creative storyteller of our school community, capturing the highlights, memories, and milestones of the year. They coordinate a team of parents who collectively contribute to the yearbook's content development and design process and ensure every student's story is celebrated in a beautiful keepsake for all to treasure.

Uniform Swap Shop Coordinator (2pax - with additional volunteers called on when needed): The uniform swap shop coordinator manages our sustainable solution for school uniforms, organising and facilitating the exchange of pre-loved items once per term, plus at the Kindy orientation. They help collect pre-loved uniforms at key times during the year, keep the stock in check and make it available for our regular Uniform Swaps during the year, making dressing our students easier and more affordable while reducing waste.
