Weekly Wrap: Year 3/4
Another busy week in 3/4! This week in Maths, students constructed bridges out of straws. They were exploring which shapes were strongest or most structurally sound when creating their design. In Humanities, students were completing a biography, investigating a Famous Australian. In Art, students were busily working on their suitcase projects, drawing and colouring items that they would pack to take on holiday.

Foundation: Matilda, for always ‘keeping her voice on’ for whole-class responses.
Year 1/2: Eve, for always having a good go and trying everything during Literacy.
Year 3/4: Tyson, for his effort displayed in his writing size when completing his diary entries.
Year 5/6: Chace, for being a great example for younger students in the school.

Book Review by Renee
Renee recommended Dog Man 'Mothering Heights, by Dav Pilkey. This is an adventure , mystery comic set in the city, sin-side and the outside. The main characters are Dog Man, Chief, Lin Petey, Grandpa Big Jim and Nurse-lady. Big sippy cups destroy the city. Renee rates it 5 out of 5 stars and recommends it for students in Grade 1-6.
AFL Clinic
Exciting news for our F-6 students! This Monday, March 31st, all students will have the opportunity to get involved in an AFL clinic. At lunchtime, students can join in a fun kick-kick session, followed by AFL clinics during their PE classes. This event is run by AFL Victoria and is designed to build excitement for the upcoming School Holiday Program, taking place at Charlton Park on April 15.
For more information about the School Holiday Program, check out the Community News section.
Year 5/6 Tennis Hot Shots – Tomorrow!
Our Year 5/6 students are off to Boort tomorrow to compete in the annual Tennis Hot Shots Carnival! They have been training hard in PE classes, and now it’s time to put their skills to the test on the court.
We wish them all the best and look forward to sharing their results next week. Keep an eye on our socials for updates and photos from the day!
The Great Sliming of Mr. Kemp
It's not everyday you get to slime your teacher!
So far we've raised $905 for Food Bank Australia. Our Year 5/6's took the lead last week with most money raised, an impressive $265!
Who will be next? No one is safe... We've heard rumors it might be Mr. Daff.
