Are you bogged mate?

Over the weekend the Charlton Football Club hosted Mary O’Brien the founder of ‘Are you bogged mate?’. Although her message and presentations are aimed at rural males, her message applies to us all. She spoke on the importance of being there to support a mate who is ‘in a bog’ to listen, help and connect with support. For anyone that didn’t have the opportunity to hear her speak the link to her story can be found at https://areyouboggedmate.com.au/about

Mary shared the service TIACS (This is a Conversation Starter). TIACS is a professional, free text and call counselling service offering mental health support to Australia’s blue-collar community.

Headlice

In recent weeks we have had a number of cases of headlice in our school. We ask that parents are attentive in checking their child/ren’s hair and treat as soon as possible if necessary. Attached to the newsletter is a document regarding some information about headlice and the appropriate treatments. Please contact Jess McGurk at the College if you require any information or support in treating headlice.
