House Sport

It has been a busy start to the year in terms of House Sport, with students participating in weekly sport activities as well as competing in a several House Sport carnivals. At Mazenod, sport is designed to be inclusive and cater for a range of the student's interests to assist them to develop their sense of physical wellbeing. Students are encouraged to create healthy habits that involve engaging in regular physical activity. Weekly sport activities students can participate in include badminton, basketball, golf, table tennis, tennis, boxing and indoor soccer.

The House Sport Carnival series involves several championship events during the year in which the students represent their house and compete for points. The points are totalled, and a winning house is crowned for that event. After the completion of the series points are calculated from all the events and the winning house is awarded the Father Sherman Champion House trophy at the final college assembly.
