The introduction of Chartwells as our onsite food service provider in our refurbished Cafeteria & Café has been a huge success. The variety on offer has certainly impressed both students and staff, and the volume of turnover has increased twofold.
To further improve the services offered, Mazenod with Chartwells has partnered with Flexischools, allowing students to use their ID cards to order and purchase food. Through Flexischools, families can load funds onto their son's ID card, which can be used to tap and go on the Chartwells’ terminals as well as having the capacity to preorder lunches.
Shortly, families will be invited to establish a family account and register their son's ID card on the Flexischools app (available as a free download from Apple and Google stores or register online at Flexischools For Parents - How To Sign Up ). In Term 2, registered families will be able to preorder their food needs for the following day. Parents will be able to see transaction details and set daily limits.
In the past, Mazenod had a lunch ordering system, a facility that has been lacking over the past few years. It is envisaged that preordering will assist in reducing the time it takes to obtain food and help Chartwells meet the culinary needs of our students. With the introduction Flexischools we go the next step in meeting our community expectations.
Our Courtyard Landscaping project is nearing completion, and the transformation is remarkable. The redesigned space features new seating areas, enhanced greenery, and improved pathways, creating a welcoming and functional environment for students to relax and socialise. Keep an eye out for updated photos of the progress on our social media and website!
The latest edition of The Provence magazine was released in March 2025. This publication showcases the achievements, stories, and milestones of our College community, including highlighting various alumni and their journeys. If you are not currently receiving a copy in the mail, we encourage you to update your details with the College to ensure you stay connected.
Providing better facilities for all.
The Mazenod Foundation is deeply grateful for the on-going support of parents through donations to our tax-deductible Building Fund. These are vital so the College can continue its redevelopment program that provides students with improved learning and teaching spaces.
This year, our focus is on raising funds to redevelop the Food Technology Centre utilised by students from Years 8-10. This facility, located in the Year 7 Complex, is outdated and no longer supports modern food technology / hospitality learning. With a substantial increase in size and function, the provision of a high-quality Food Technology learning space and associated facilities, including dedicated theory classroom, will support the curriculum and the great demand and enthusiasm for this much-loved educational program within the College.
The College is extremely grateful for any single tax-deductible donation, or pledge over two years, and all donations of $1,000 or more will be acknowledged on a donor board in the redeveloped Food Technology space. We urge all parents to support this project through a tax-deductible donation:
