Mission Action Day Festival of Music
Join us for the Inaugural MAD Festival of Music!
Historically, the music department has held a fund-raising concert for Mission Action Day in the Provence. This year, we are trying something different! We will be holding our event in the Founders’ Complex. The evening will have more of a festival/carnival feel with various rooms in the Founders’ being utilised with different bands and ensembles performing in each room.
Our Social Justice team will be on site offering soft drinks and snacks for purchase. The evening will culminate with a brief chat in the band room where our ever-popular raffle will be drawn.
Tickets for the raffle will be:
- $2.00 - 1 ticket
- $5.00 - 3 tickets

High School Musical Update
Musical rehearsals are well under way.
A reminder for our cast families that there will be a rehearsal on Sunday 6th April at Avila College from 10.00am – 3.00pm.
Lost Instrument
This is a reminder that it is your son’s responsibility to look after his musical instrument. We have a storage area behind the band room in the Founders’ Complex where students can leave their instrument for the day. Students who choose to leave their instrument near their classrooms, will need to speak to their Pastoral Teacher or Year Level Co-ordinator if their instrument goes missing. Instruments should be taken home at the end of the day, over the weekends and over school holidays.

Please note: As we are still fine-tuning timetables, we would appreciate your assistance in reminding your son to check MazCom on a regular basis. The Music Team is looking forward to a very exciting 2025.
Ensembles and Orchestras
Our Ensemble and Orchestra program will re-commence from Monday 10th February. The schedule can be found on MazCom.
Music Office Closure
The music department will be closed from Monday 7th April and re-open on Tuesday 22nd April. Any fee enquiries can be directed to our Finance Team – 9560 0911 - Option 3 or email finance@mazenod.vic.edu.au.
