Year One/Two News

As a very busy Term One draws to an end, we would like to thank all of our families for their continued support of the students in the Millie Building.
It has been a jam packed term and there has been so much learning taking place across all subject areas. One of the major learning areas this term has been the introduction of the InitiaLit phonics program which is delivered in a two hour block every morning to our students in the Millie Building. Each class has settled well into this new routine and we are beginning to see the benefit of the program in our daily teachings.
Also this term, we have enjoyed learning about small creatures and their habitats in Science. The students have particularly enjoyed constructing their very own habitat dioramas for a minibeast.
We would like to thank all of the family members and students that attended the Student Led Conferences in Week 9. What a turn out we had! All of the students have worked so hard to complete work for their Learning Portfolios and it was so good to see families turning up to support the students.
From all of us in the Millie Building, have a wonderful Easter break.
