It is an age appropriate developmental program that is engaging and fun. The activities will be run on the day by Ballarat High School students. Thursday, 3rd April – Athletics Sports (Year 3 – Year 6)
10:15am-2:40pm
Key Focus – The Senior School Athletics sports is a competitive athletics day where we celebrate both participation and competition. Students are in their year levels and earn points for their house colours. The students will be involved in events such as discus, shot put, long jump, triple jump and sprint events. High jump has already been completed at school before the event and the results have been recorded. Circular team relays are run at the end of the day for selected students.
Dismissal – Students will be dismissed at the end of the presentations. Parents/Guardians need to see their child’s classroom teacher to have their name marked off the roll.
Year Level Champions (2 per year level, a boy and a girl) are determined by utilising a standardised scoring system for each individual event. This year an additional point will be awarded to the outright age winner of any field event and track final.
Canteen – The canteen will be open on the day, however students are not allowed to purchase items – food will need to be delivered to students during break/lunch time.
A reminder please that no dogs are allowed at Llanberris.
In the case of inclement weather on Athletics Day, a decision and subsequent notifications will be made on Sentral and Facebook. Please avoid calling the school office as no news will mean good news!
We look forward to your attendance on Thursday 3rd April.
Kind Regards,
Katherine and Emily
