Leadership Report

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

As we reach the end of Term 1, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the achievements and progress we have made together. It has been a busy and productive term, filled with learning, growth, and community spirit.

This term, we have also seen a wonderful participation in extracurricular activities. Our sports teams have competed with great sportsmanship and our choir has started their rehearsals for the Festival of Music later in the year. These activities play a crucial role in developing well-rounded individuals, and I encourage all students to continue exploring their interests.

We are grateful for the strong sense of community at Marion Primary School. The support from parents and caregivers has been invaluable, whether through volunteering, attending school events, or simply being involved in your child's education. Together, we create a nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

As we look forward to Term 2, we have exciting plans and initiatives in place to further enhance teaching and learning.

Changes to lesson and break times:

There will be a slight change to our lesson times to support the wellbeing of our students. After discussions with staff, we would like to implement time at the beginning of each day to support wellbeing and engagement.

This will not affect start and finish times so there will be no impact to families.

The changes are:

L1 9:00 – 9:50 instead of 8:55 – 9:45 am

L2 9:50 – 10:40 instead of 9:45 – 10:35 am

Recess 10:40 – 11:00 instead of 10:35 – 10:55 am

L3 11:00 – 11:50 instead of 10:55 – 11:45 am

L4 11:50 – 12:40 instead of 11:45 – 12:35 pm

Lunch play 12:50 – 1:20 pm instead of 12:45 – 1:15pm

L5 and L6 remain the same.

These changes will provide our students with extended engagement morning routines, ensuring a settled and positive start to the day.
