Principal's Report

Senka King

Welcome to Term 2!!

It was lovely to welcome the excited students back to school on Tuesday. Even though we have a short week, the children are already settling back into school routines.

Reminder:  Friday the 25th is Anzac Day and this is a public holiday. NO SCHOOL

You are welcome to join us this afternoon for our annual Anzac Day assembly, beautifully led by Mrs. McLeod starting at 2:50pm. The side gates will be opened at 2:45pm.

Foundation 2026

It is that time of the year again when we begin the process for enrolling students starting school next year. Mr. Fielding and I will be visiting Kindergartens and Early Learning Centre's to introduce ourselves and meet the children.

I will also be conducting some school tours starting on Thursday the 8th of May. There will be two tours one in the morning at 9:30am and one at the end of the day starting at 3:30pm. Please contact the office to let us know you will be attending.  If you can’t make it on that day we may be able to arrange another time.

As always enrolment forms can be collected from the office or completed and submitted online from our website. I look forward to meeting a new group of students as I complete the enrolment meetings with children and their parents.

If you know anyone whose children turn 5 before April 1st of 2026, please let them to contact our office as soon as possible.

Attendance

As we start a new term, it’s a great opportunity to reflect on your child’s attendance during term one. Think about how many:

  • days absences,
  • late attendance or
  • early pickups your child/ren have had.

In future, please consider how these can be minimised as all of these can significantly impact on children’s social connections and their learning. If you need information about your child’s attendance you can contact your child’s class teacher or the office.

Story Time

Mrs. McLeod is starting Story Time for children not yet attending school. This is a great opportunity for parents to introduce their children to the school environment, enjoy listening to books being read, get to know other parents and children while having fun participating in different activities. Storytime is held on every Wednesday starting from the 30th of April from 2:30-3:15pm. Please sign in at the office.

Curriculum Day – WEDNESDAY, 14TH OF MAY

Apologies to families who may have already made arrangements, but we have had to change the curriculum day to Wednesday the 14th of May to ensure that all our students will be able to participate in the District Cross Country. The date for the District Cross Country was changed at very short notice.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards,
