News from the Career and Pathways HUB
It has been a busy term in the careers office, starting with Year 10 careers appointments and finishing the term with Year 12 careers appointments. It is now getting to the decision-making point for Year 12s, and a lot of information will be coming out shortly regarding opening VTAC accounts, entering preferences, SEAS and scholarship applications. There are many resources available to students and parents that will support the process over the coming months. VTAC will be running the following webinars on a range of topics and I encourage parents/guardians and students to register for these – please note that some are repeated, and there is no need to register for more than one of the same topic.

Universities continue to offer a range of onsite and online activities including campus tours and course information sessions. Please see the details below regarding dates and how to register for these events. Even if you have missed a session of interest, you should still be able to register to receive the recording if the event was held online. As always, I highly recommend students in years 10-12 use these events to assist with their planning and decision making.

Tertiary Open Days - 2024
Below is a list of the dates for the tertiary open days for 2024. As you can see, August is incredibly busy for open days, so I advise that if you are a student in Year 10 or 11, you start early and attend some of the institutions that may be of interest, so that you don’t run out of time trying to attend them all in Year 12! I will continue to update the table as more institutions publish their dates, and registration for open day information can be made by clicking on the link in the table.
