Careers and Pathways HUB

News from the Career and Pathways HUB

It has been a busy term in the careers office, starting with Year 10 careers appointments and finishing the term with Year 12 careers appointments. It is now getting to the decision-making point for Year 12s, and a lot of information will be coming out shortly regarding opening VTAC accounts, entering preferences, SEAS and scholarship applications. There are many resources available to students and parents that will support the process over the coming months. VTAC will be running the following webinars on a range of topics and I encourage parents/guardians and students to register for these – please note that some are repeated, and there is no need to register for more than one of the same topic.

Would you like to be part of our Futures program at Huntingtower?

Thank you to the members of the HT community who have responded to my short survey regarding sharing your experiences in your career and related industry with our Year 11 students. We will be commencing this engaging program for 2024 in term 3 and if you would like to be a part of informing, inspiring and guiding the next generation of graduates, please complete the very short survey here.

Upcoming events

Universities continue to offer a range of onsite and online activities including campus tours and course information sessions. Please see the details below regarding dates and how to register for these events. Even if you have missed a session of interest, you should still be able to register to receive the recording if the event was held online. As always, I highly recommend students in years 10-12 use these events to assist with their planning and decision making.

Tertiary Open Days - 2024
