Important Student Reminder

Students are to be reminded that when riding a bike or scooter (including motorised) they must wear a secure helmet and must not use their mobile phone. Police have reported increased instances of this occurring and will be targeting this behaviour. Beyond the obvious physical dangers of such behaviours to the rider and other road and footpath users, the following fines may also apply:

  • Riding without helmet $240
  • Disobey any road rules, including dinking $192
  • Using mobile phone while riding $555

Be safe for yourself and for others.

Country Buses

Just a reminder that students wanting to travel on country buses for football/netball training need to complete an adhoc application form and email to buses@horsham-college.vic.edu.au

These students will be accommodated if possible. Please be aware this will be a term by term proposition and if a regular traveller needs the seat they will have priority.

Under no circumstances should students travel without a legitimate application and approval.

Horsham College Bus Coordinator

Welcome back to HC Georgia!

We had an ambassador from RWAV – Rural Workforce Agency Victoria, last week to speak to the students about rural healthcare careers.

There was a focus on medicine as we were privileged to have a Horsham College Alumni, Georgia Maroske speak to us. She has just finished her studies and is now in her first year as an intern doctor in Albury/Wodonga. She was able to talk about the opportunities for careers in healthcare in rural Victoria as well as field questions and give advice to some of our potential future medical students.

Moving House? Changing phone numbers?

It is important that we have up to date contact details for Students. Please remember if you move house, change phone numbers etc that you please let us know so we can change it on our records.
