School Visitor Check-In
From Monday 22 June, the Department's School Visitor Check-In system will begin collecting date of birth (DOB) from certain visitor groups as part of a technical upgrade in partnership with Service NSW. This change supports future visitor validation and compliance requirements.
Who will need to provide their date of birth?
- Volunteers (this includes parents/carers when volunteering for either school, and/or, P&C activities)
- Child-related contractors
- Maintenance contractors
- Cleaners
- Other visitors
Who will NOT need to provide their date of birth?
- Parents and carers (when visiting in that capacity, which includes parent meetings).
- NSW Department of Education staff, including casual teachers
The new DOB field will appear across all visitor sign-in methods
- Service NSW app
- Concierge iPad app
- Webform
- SVCI Logbook
