NAIDOC WEEK 2026 - 50 YEARS OF DEADLY

This year, we warmly invite our school community to join us for our upcoming NAIDOC Week assembly as we proudly celebrate the NAIDOC theme, “50 Years of Deadly,” recognising the strength, pride and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples over the past 50 years. Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students will be at the heart of this celebration, sharing their voices, culture, and what makes them deadly within our school community.

Date:  Monday, 29th June

Time: 12:30pm

Location:  St Edward's Primary School, Hillvue Road

Following the assembly, we invite all families, visitors and special guests to join us for a sausage sizzle. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect, reflect and celebrate together as a community.  We look forward to sharing this special occasion with you.

NAIDOC WEEK SAUSAGE SIZZLE - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We’re still looking for a few helping hands for our sausage sizzle after the assembly!

If you’re able to help out with cooking, serving or setting up/packing down, we’d really appreciate it.

If you’re able to help out, please get in touch with us via email.

Grandparents' Day - Friday 24th July

One of the happiest and biggest days on our school calendar is Grandparents' Day and this will be celebrated on Friday 24th July (Week 1, Term 3) at the Primary Campus. The day will start with a whole school liturgy (K-6) at 12.30pm in the Primary Campus Hall, followed by a picnic lunch on the school grounds (please bring your own food and picnic rug). Infants students will travel to the Primary by bus.  We would love to invite all of our Nans, Pops, Grandmothers and Grandfathers to come along and join us on this special day where we have the opportunity to celebrate and give thanks to God for these wonderful people in our lives.

Mrs Clarke will be creating a beautiful slideshow of photos - please send your photos through to sclarke@arm.catholic.edu.au by no later than Friday 10th July.

100 Days of Kindergarten - Friday 24th July

Our Kindergarten students are soon to reach a significant milestone of completing 100 days of learning at St Edward's. Children are asked to dress up as a 100-year-old so that we can have a parade to celebrate all of their achievements thus far. In previous years we have had children wear wigs, glasses, hair rollers, walking sticks, etc.

Parents and carers are invited to please join us for our 100 Days of Kindergarten Parade at 8.45am on Friday, 24th July under the Infants COLA. We cannot wait to see all the little people dressed up as old people!  We hope you can join us for this memorable moment in our Kindergarten journey. Let's make it a day to remember!
