First Eucharist Celebration

On Sunday, 21st June, a number of our students received the Sacrament of First Eucharist for the very first time. This special occasion marked an important step in their faith journey as they shared in the Eucharist with our parish community.

The celebration was a joyful and reverent occasion, with students supported by their families, teachers and parish members. We congratulate all the children who received this sacrament and thank Fr Roel, Sal Clarke - our REC, our Year 3 Teaching Team (Ms Holman, Miss Merrick and Mrs Press), and our parish team for their guidance and support throughout the preparation process.

May God continue to bless these students as they grow in faith and deepen their relationship with Jesus.

NAIDOC Week

St Edward’s will be celebrating NAIDOC Week next week, providing students with opportunities to learn about and celebrate the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year's theme, '50 Years of Deadly', celebrates the rich history of NAIDOC and recognises the generations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have shared their culture, stories and leadership to strengthen communities across Australia.

As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, the team have organised a range of engaging learning experiences for students across the school. Throughout the week, students will have opportunities to learn about and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and achievements, while exploring this year's theme, '50 Years of Deadly'. These experiences will help foster understanding, respect and appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Australia's First Nations peoples.

We invite all families to join us for our NAIDOC Week Assembly on Monday, 29th June at 12.30pm at the Primary Campus, as we come together to acknowledge the significance of this important week and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture within our school community.

We thank Sal, Britt, Amanda, Jarrod, and all of our students for their dedication and leadership in creating these valuable learning opportunities.
