Inside this week’s edition of In the Know with Careers, you will find information on the following:
- UAC – UAC important dates and events; the ATAR and what it is used for; how to transfer to a different degree once you have commenced your university studies.
- Australian Catholic University (ACU) – Webinars on careers in Sport and Exercise Science, Psychology, Social Work and Youth Work and Nutrition and Dietetics.
- University of NSW (UNSW) – Short courses/workshops in Aviation on 3 - 4 October and Engineering on 6 October.
- University of NSW (UNSW) – The new $10,000 UNSW Advantage Award for those students living in a low socio-economic area. If you live in an eligible low-socioeconomic area, receive an offer from UNSW and enrol for Term 1 2024, you will be eligible to receive the $10,000 UNSW Advantage Award to support you in your first year of studies.
- Overseas study – Using the HSC to Grade Point Average (GPA) calculator to convert your combined predicted HSC scores into a simplified 4.0 scale GPA format.
- TAFE NSW – Counselling and Career Development Services.
- Apprenticeships and Traineeships – General industry-based literacy and numeracy quizzes illustrating the levels required when undertaking Australian Apprenticeship qualifications.
- Private Colleges – The Certificate of Registration Course to become an assisting agent at TAFE.
