Bullying No Way Day and City of Canning: Cannington Youth Space

Bullying No Way Day

On Friday 18 August, the College rallied together at lunch time to show our support for Bullying No Way Day outside the Xanten Performing Arts Centre.

The clear blue sky and sunshine made way for some games including a giant egg and spoon race, connect four and badminton facilitated by the City of Canning Youth Activity Officers (more on this below). Dress up instant photos were taken, encouraging everyone to have fun and make new friends. Our event MC's, Isabella Giuffre (Year 12)and Mary Carter (Year 12), gave students tips and tricks to encourage friendships and shared information and raised awareness about bullying.

Thank you to Mr Patrick Ah Fong and all the House Captains who setup and organised the day.

City of Canning: Cannington Youth Space

We were fortunate enough to partner with the City of Canning on Bullying No Way Day. On the day, some Youth Activity Officers from the City of Canning engaged with students by participating in games and promoting the local Youth Centres. The closest Youth Centre to our College is the Cannington Youth Space, which operates on Friday afternoons until 4.30pm at Cannington Leisureplex.

The Youth Activity Officers also have a strong association with Headspace and Mercy Care. They can help by referring young people to get mental health support.

You can find more information about Youth Centres in the City of Canning (some of which may be closer to the suburb you live in) here:
