Book Week 2023

Each year since 1945, the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has brought children and books together through Children's Book Week. During this time schools and libraries all over Australia spend one glorious week celebrating books and the love of reading.

This years theme is 'Read, Grow, Inspire' and the Premontre Library is celebrating with a number of activities including Speed Dating with Books, the Get Caught Reading photo competition, the Book in a Jar competition and the Literary quiz.

During our College assembly on Wednesday 30 August, Year 12 students and some of our staff will be dressed up as their favorite fictional book characters for our annual Cosplay parade. There’s no need to spend big on hiring costumes as the endless magic of fiction provides for plenty of ideas.
