Sport and P.E.
In the Classroom
In Week 5 of term, all students at BPPS began their 5-week gymnastics program in PE classes. Through practising skills such as jumping, landing, rolling and balancing, it has been fantastic to see so many students improving their fine motor skills, flexibility, muscular endurance and concentration. As a PE teacher notably lacking in each of these key areas, it has been super impressive watching the efforts and ability levels of all of our students at BPPS! Looking forward to the next few weeks of gymnastics ahead!
Sports Events
On Friday 4th August, our F-2 students took part in the Junior School Athletics Carnival. Despite the weather wreaking havoc and resulting in some last-minute location changes, the event was a huge success – with so many fantastic exhibits of athleticism, effort and (most importantly) enjoyment. Well done to all F-2 students for their enthusiasm and positivity and a shout out to our marvellous Year 6 Leaders, who did a great job of organising all of the activities, explaining them to our athletes and calculating house points.
BPPS Colour Run
Colour Run Challenge Number 2 has come to an end and well done to 4JT for raising the most funds as a class so far in our fundraising campaign. This week, 4JT were treated to an extra session of PE as recognition of their fantastic efforts. We still have a few more weeks until our Colour Run, so it’s not too late to get out there and raise some funds for BPPS, while earning some super cool individual prizes!
Have a great week!
