Auslan

We have been working towards identifying and signing AFL Australian Football Teams.

Did you know - Now the AFL has now installed closed captions on team songs so deaf and hard of hearing barrackers can join in match day singalongs!

Students had the opportunity to sign their own design of a football guernsey to their partner they then draw and colour in according to instructions. Check out our photos!

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

A massive thanks to our awesome students and families who signed up, skipped and raised money for Jump Rope For Heart. We raised a total of $7361, which is a huge effort. And as a school we skipped for a total of 223 hours.

BASKETBALL

Our Grade 5/6 basketball teams competed at the Red Energy Arena on September 1st. We managed a couple wins and it was fantastic to see lots of our kids trying a new sport.

GYM PROGRAM - TERM 4

Our Prep - 6 Gym Program will be at Jet's Gym again this year. Students will get 6 lessons over the first four weeks of Term 4. Please remember to wear comfy clothes for all the rolling and somersaulting.

Upcoming PE dates:

  • P-6 Gym Program - Term 4, weeks 1-4
  • Division Cricket Blast - October 20 (Term 4)

Music

PRODUCTION - Grades 4-6

We are in the final stages of rehearsals, with all dances learned and our actors and singers have their parts (mostly) down pat.

We now start focusing on the smaller, more subtle parts and stage presence, costuming and stage logistics. Tickets will be on sale in early Term 4.

Students, keep rehearsing over the holidays and be ready to hit the ground running when we get back.

They can rehearse ALL of the parts, songs and dances here:

Junior Students have been composing small pieces of music, focusing on various concepts, such as rhythm, harmony and tempo. They have been exploring the make up of major and minor chords and using these to make their own compositions and play popular songs.

Visual Arts:

Thats a wrap for Term 3 in the Art room. It has been a busy term of sculpting, drawing, painting, collaborating, studying and learning more and more about artists from all walks of life.

Keep up all of the amazing art learning over the holidays. Our student gallery will be growing over the break as we hang more and more of our students work in and around the school.
