CURRICULUM FOCUS

We are learning to identify language features in an explanation text. We use present tense verbs in an explanation text to show the sequence of how/why something happens. 

VOCABULARY

Present tense:

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Play a game of Family Charades.

Act out together different actions for the others to guess. 

Examples:

Swimming

Jumping

Hopping

Throwing

Then discuss what it would be like if you were doing those actions in the present tense.
