A message from

 the Principal

As we finish Term 3 I would like to wish our out-going Year 12 cohort all the best for their HSC exams and in their future endeavours. Congratulations on completing 13 years of public education, you already have much to be proud of.

Building works continue at KHS, hopefully by the end of Term 4 we will see most of the projects completed and students able to start using the upgraded facilities at the beginning of 2024.

The NSW Government has announced restrictions on the use of mobile phones in all NSW high schools beginning in Term 4, 2023. Kempsey High School will continue to implement our Student Mobile Phone Management - Locked Device Pouch System that we implemented in 2022.

KHS students use pouches so that mobile phones are not accessed by students during the school day. The Student Mobile Phone Management - Locked Device Pouch System at KHS will continue to apply to mobile phones and will occur during all school hours, including break times such as during lunch and recess, as well as while students are on school-based excursions.

Every student will secure their phone every day in a pouch when they are at school or on a school-based excursion or activity. All students will be provided with a new pouch at the beginning of Term 4 free of charge. Replacement pouches will cost $5 thereafter.

I wish all in the KHS community a great holiday. All students return Monday 9 October.

Regards,

Simon McKinney

Executive Principal
