SMCC Netball Team- Winter Season Tuesday night competition

On Tuesday night, St Mary's took to the court against an in form Leprechauns.  Leprechauns took a commanding lead from the start, finishing the half 7 goals ahead of the team. A solid defensive performance and an impressive shooting combination saw the girls score 10 goals to the Leprechauns 2, placing them 1 goal in front at the end of the third quarter. Some minor errors in the last quarter allowed Leprechauns to take the win by 1 goal.

The team played exceptionally well to come back from so far down.

Despite the loss, the team has ended the rounds at the top of the ladder and taking the minor premiership. They play their semifinal against South Cutters next Tuesday night at 6.30pm.
