Children's Book Week

Our school celebrated Book Week 7-11th August with an engaging interactive performance for our Prep to Year 3 students and of course our well-loved annual Book Character parade. Teachers also enthusiastically incorporated our new collection of the short-listed books into their teaching programs.

‘Way too Cool!’ by Perform Education incorporated several of the short-listed titles to explore the concept of friendship, change and growth. The performers kept our junior students engaged with songs, dances and audience participation. 

The costumes for this year’s Book Character parade were wonderful! Thank you for supporting your children with this as we know how much effort these events can take for parents. We know that days like these stay in our students’ memories and we hope that this one will inspire them to read more widely as well. Thank you also to our fabulous teachers, who embrace a dress up day with great enthusiasm!
