What's making news this fortnight
Thursday the 14th September is national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone that any day is the day to ask 'are you okay' and check in with those around you.
Â
The VRS wellbeing team put on a lovely breakfast for our staff - giving everyone the opportunity to sit down and be 'here to hear'.
Â
A reminder to everyone in our school community to please keep supporting each other, checking in and having open and honest conversations. You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.Â
Â
We were very excited to hear that two former students of VRS were married at the start of September.Â
Â
Our Senior Years' Unit Leader Lisa Warren attended the wedding and commented on how lovely it was witness a marriage of two of our past students whose friendship started here at school. Â Other former students also attended the wedding and were part of the bridal party.Â
Â
A big congratulations to Marcus McCubbin and Christy Carter - we are so glad you had a wonderful day and wish you all the best for a happy future together.
Â
Our car park can be a very busy place! A reminder to please adhere to the 5kmp/h speed limit at all times. Â
Â
Staff supervise the car park during the following pick-up & drop off times:
Â
Morning drop off: 9:15 - 9:30am
Afternoon pick up: 2:30 - 3:00pm
Â
It is very important that you do not drop off or pick up students while our contract buses are in the carpark as we need to safely get our students on and off these buses.
Â
Also please only turn LEFT out of our carpark to help avoid congestion within the carpark.
Â
Can you believe the end of Term 3 is nearly here!
Â
School will be finishing at 2pm on Friday the 15th of September.
Buses will run as usual - drop off time will just be an hour earlier.
Â
We hope you all have a very safe and fun holiday and we look forward to seeing you all back at school on Monday 2nd October.
Â
Â
Â
Enjoy your holidays - stay safe and we look forward to seeing everyone back and ready for Term 4 😊
