Platypus Classroom

Literacy

The Platypus class has had a fantastic start to Term 3! This term, we have begun exploring Our Dreaming by Kirli Saunders and learning about the importance of Dreaming in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Over the coming weeks, students will read a range of Dreaming stories and use them as inspiration to write and perform their own poems. We look forward to sharing these at a future assembly.

Mathematics

This term, our Maths focus is on multiplication and division. Students will build confidence using a range of strategies to solve problems, choose efficient methods, and explain their thinking. We’ll be developing these skills through fun maths games and hands-on investigations that encourage reasoning and problem-solving.
