Mathematics

The Mathematics faculty would like to wish the year 12 students all the best for their upcoming Higher School Certificate examinations and encourage students to avail themselves of resources and advice given to them by their teachers.

Next term our Year 11 Mathematics students will commence their Higher School Certificate course. In preparation students should revise and fine tune their knowledge, understanding and application of mathematical skills. Students who invest in this preparation should have a solid foundation to build and further enhance their knowledge related to new curriculum that they will encounter in their courses.

Students in years 7 to 10 have been developing their working mathematically skills this term. Students across these year groups were assessed on their ability to communicate their mathematical knowledge, solve problems and apply mathematical reasoning to explain relationships, support conclusions and prove and justify results.
