Murga Madre invites the Newlands School community to a free, family-friendly Latin Carnival — a celebration of street culture!

When: Sunday 22 March, 12:00–7:00 pm

Where: Open Factory, 9 Cobham Street, Reservoir.

Everyone is welcome to join our bilingual (Spanish–English) workshops to learn the rhythms, steps and create your own prop for the parade. No experience is required!

If you would like to make an even bigger impact in the parade, feel free to come dressed in a red, teal, gold or black T-shirt, and we can decorate it together with ribbons.

The free workshops start at 1:45 pm, and the parade begins at 4:00 pm.

If you enjoy Argentine-inspired food, you will also be able to purchase asados, empanadas, ice-cream, alfajores and more at the event.
