Dear Parents and Caregivers 

Spotlight on Years 10–12 – Pathways and Purpose

In Senior Secondary (Years 10–12) our focus is twofold: effective, engaging learning, and clear pathways. The Senior Pastoral Team and I are closely monitoring student progress towards QCE attainment and other post-schooling goals. We are strengthening mentoring, data tracking and case management for students at risk of disengaging or not meeting QCE requirements through Years 11 and 12. 

Our Work Experience program in Year 10 and SET plans are one of the first steps in the Senior years to ensure students are on the right pathway where they can engage in learning about content they are interested in, and developing skills in areas of interest. 

At the same time, we want students to see their senior years as a time of purpose and leadership – in class, in the yard and in our community. Parents and caregivers, your role in conversations about study habits, sleep, work commitments, and digital distractions cannot be overstated. Together, we can guide them through busy and exciting final chapters at the end of Year 12.
