Foundation News:
Our the last few weeks our Foundation students were introduced to their writing books. Independently, we have been writing decodable sentences and using our fine motor skills to cut and glue together a scrambled sentence. We are so proud of our Foundation students for writing their first sentence, well done!

Senior Students Interschool Sport
Last Friday, our senior students joined St.Columba's senior students for a friendly kickball competition at the Western Oval. The weather was perfect, and the students from both schools had a ball!
Friendships grew under the blue sky and good sports were everywhere to be seen.
This picture of Archie captures the spirit of the day - fun and support.
The senior teachers are extremely proud of our students.

Junior Police Incursion
Yesterday our Junior students were fortunate to welcome 3 police officers in to talk to us about online safety and road safety. We also got to try on some of their gear, including their very heavy vests and ask great questions. A big thank you to Alana (Isla’s Mum - F/1G) for organising this visit for us!
Story Time
Our Little people are loving Story Time! Thank you so much Kim and Jane for all of the time and effort you put into running this program.
The Pat Darroch Primary School Term 2 Netball competition.
Games will be played on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights with a Year 3/4 and 5/6 competition. The teams are mixed and games commence on the 5th and 6th of May for both competitions. Games will be held at the Ballarat Netball Association with fixtures released after the 28th of April. Games will take place after regular school hours with the competition running for 8 weeks with no finals.
The school will provide netball bibs and balls for all teams to use on the nights of the competition. All teams will be entered by Mr Valentine through the school. If you have a child that wishes to be included please reach out before the cut of date of Tuesday the 28th of April. No further teams will be entered after the cut off date. Students have already been spoken to and have started teams but there is still plenty of room for others. If your child does not have a team but is still interested they can join and be added to a team on the night they wish to play.
Any parents that would like to be involved in a coaching capacity or assist in any way feel free to come along to support your child's team.
Please read through the information on the flyer and get in touch if you would like to be involved.
Thanks Mr Valentine
