Celebrating Every Child Through Story
This term, I want to highlight a small collection of picture books that help children understand that everyone learns, thinks, and experiences the world in their own unique way. These stories gently explore themes of individuality, strengths, challenges, and the many ways children can support one another. The books are warm, uplifting, and designed to help all students recognise that every person has qualities that make them special. They encourage empathy, confidence, and a sense of belonging. All the values that sit at the heart of our school community.

Mr Polycarpou’s class has been exemplifying incredible transition routines this week. The class is really perfecting getting ready for learning in three quick:
- lining up in a straight, quiet line
- walking respectfully into the classroom
- settling quickly and getting ready to learn
Their consistency, responsibility, and teamwork have truly stood out this week. Very impressive andk eep up the great work!
Year 2 Emotions Writing
Our Year 2 students have been learning about emotions and how to describe what different feelings look and feel like. They have written short pieces using similes, strong describing words, and real‑life examples to show how emotions can change our bodies and behaviour.
Their writing is creative, expressive, and shows a growing understanding of how to name and talk about their feelings. We are very proud of the effort and thought the students have put into their work.
