Dear Parents,
We congratulate our students for using mind master thinking and showing resilience when running in the cross country last week. All students from years Prep to 6 ran in the event, showing grit, determination and persistence as they kept an 'I can do it' attitude in their thinking. Thank you to Lisa Galvin and all who helped on the day.
The strength of a school comes from its stories and traditions, but the future of a school rests in its relevance and innovation (Ashley Fell, McCrindle Research group).
St Mary’s continues to live out its vision of 'Growing together in Faith, Hope and Love', with a focus on ensuring that we highlight and celebrate our wonderful St Mary’s story and traditions, while also ensuring all we do is relevant to the students in our school today.
With this in mind, I invite every parent to the Cyber Safety night we are running online tonight at 7pm. We all need to keep on top of what is relevant and current in all aspects of our education, but in particular we need to be informed about any cyber safety education to ensure we can keep our students safe in an online environment.
This week, we celebrate Mother's Day. Our mothers and special carers are always looking out for others, caring and nurturing every child in their care. We celebrate their importance in the development of children and show our appreciation for their unconditional love.
We invite all our community to the special Mother's Day celebrations this Friday 10th May. We invite all of our mums, grandmothers, aunties and any special members of our community to a special Mother's Day Mass at 9.30am followed by a special morning tea in the Parish Centre. Our student leaders will serve, we have a guest speaker and there will be other special activities. Please remember to RSVP.
Enrolments are open for 2025. Please promote our wonderful school to anyone in our community. We have our Open Days and Open Evening coming up, so please pass the invite on.
Yours in Partnership,
Gab
