Outdoor Educational Studies

In Term 1, the Year 12 Outdoor Educational Studies class enjoyed the opportunity to attend two outdoor activities to enhance their learning and understanding of Unit 3 - Relationships with Outdoor Environments.

The first trip was a three day camp at Wilson Promontory. The Area of Study 1- Changing Human Relationships with Outdoor Environments was explored and developed whilst on the camp. Stand-up paddle boarding, bush walking, a sun set hike, a talk from the local ranger, cooking, camping, log book note taking and group bonding was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The second trip was a one day excursion to the Mornington Peninsula. Their knowledge of the Area of Study 2 - Relationships with Outdoor Environments in the past decade was thoroughly consolidated through this journey.

Snorkelling out in Port Phillip Bay with seals and the exquisite marine life and a trip to the local pick your own strawberry farm, Rocky Creek was a great experience.
